Prison of Echoes is a short 2D pixel-art metroidvania where you play as a prisoner gifted with magical abilities, fighting to escape a shadowy prison.

Main features

• Explore 18 interconnected rooms across 2 distinct zones
• Unlock 3 player abilities: double jump, repel, and dash
• Collect Bloodgems to extend your health bar
• Find the Memory Shards, fragments of stories from prisoners of the past
• Face a boss fight against the prison guardian
• Battle 5 different enemies with unique attack patterns
• Survive spikes, arrow shooters, lava pools, and other deadly traps
• Solve puzzles that challenge your newly acquired abilities
• Visit a shop to buy health or a prison map
• Challenge yourself with a Trial mode designed for speedrunners
• Estimated playtime: ~20–30 minutes

Development Status

This is my first solo game, created over a few months of occasional but passionate work.
Currently released as a completed short experience with limited playtesting.
